DIY Build Types/Models

Since it's possible to replace most of the parts in the schematics to different brands etc (as long as you use the same component values) these mixers can be built in an almost unlimited number of configurations depending on your preferences.

To make things a little easier regarding different recomendations etc i will group these into 3 different "models"

  • Modern
  • Classic
  • Audiophile

Modern

This version will use parts used in modern mixers. This includes Metal Film resistor, good but not high-end capacitors etc. This is also the cheapest version to build.

Classsic

This version will use components (or similar) used in the 70s/80s where possible.

Audiophile

This version will use high-end audio-grade components as much as possible. This is also the most expensive version to build.

I will always build 2 versions of all projects where one is the "Modern" version. This to be able to compare them. I will also give component recomendations for allĀ  3 "models"
